about us
A new way to discover and order authentic Tunisian handcrafted pottery
Where It Started
Our Story
Poterie Artisanale was born from a simple observation: Tunisia has a rich tradition of handcrafted pottery, but the artisans behind it have almost no digital presence. Their work rarely reaches beyond local markets, not because of quality, but because of visibility.
We set out to change that. An online platform where authentic pieces made by real craftspeople can be discovered, ordered, and delivered to any corner of the world, directly, and without compromise.
What Drives Us
Our Mission
Our mission is straightforward: give Tunisian pottery artisans a modern, professional online presence — and give customers worldwide a reliable way to access genuine handcrafted pieces at fair prices.
We’re not a marketplace with hundreds of anonymous sellers. We work directly with a curated selection of craftspeople, verify every piece, and handle the entire customer journey from order to delivery. Quality and transparency are not optional — they are the whole point
Your Online Window Into Tunisian Craft
We connect you directly to pottery workshops in Tunisia — no middlemen, no generic imports. Every piece on this platform was made by hand, by a real craftsperson, using techniques passed down through generations.
Curated Artisan Selection
We personally select craftspeople from Tunisia's most established pottery regions, ensuring every piece meets our quality and authenticity standards.
Custom & Made-to-Order
Beyond our catalogue, you can request a quote for custom pieces — specific sizes, glazes, or quantities. Our artisans work with you from idea to finished piece.
Direct & Transparent
No hidden sourcing, no bulk importing. You know who made your piece, where it was fired, and how it was shipped. Honesty is built into how we operate from day one.
Timeless, Tactile & Genuinely Unique
Built to Last
Fired at over 1000°C, Tunisian terracotta is built for a lifetime. A handcrafted piece only becomes more characterful with age — never disposable.
Locally Rooted
Every piece starts with clay from Tunisian soil, shaped in local workshops, fired in traditional kilns. Buying here directly supports artisan livelihoods.
No Two Are Alike
Because every piece is thrown and glazed by hand, no two are identical. The slight variations in colour and form are not imperfections — they are proof of a human touch.
